If there is one bird that is more colorful than the eclectus it is the Lorikeet. According to the gal who was working in the Lorikeet aviary at Parrot Jungle, they put this section toghether 5 months ago. Unlike other sections of the Jungle, you walk into an aviary and are instantly surronded by 10 to 30 or more of Lories of all sizes and colors. They are very noisy. The poop on the visitors on occaison. They have very little inhibition as they are used to getting fed by the visitors. It is truly amazing!!!!!
I am not happy with the picture quality below but they were difficult to photograph (lighting was a problem). But this is what we have today. Enjoy.

The Kids in the aviary were having a blast. I think PJ is doing a great job educating tommorrows adults on parrots.
